ISO: It controls how sensitive the camera is to light not like aperture and shutter speed ISO does not control how much light enters the camera. We used 100
shutter speed: the shutter speed is how long you have to make the image , the time our group did was 10 seconds.
aperture: Aperture is how much light comes through we left it on ' F4.5'.

What Is Light Painting
Light painting is when you have any light source such as :Torch, phone , lighter extra .With the light source then you can draw thing for an example you can wright names, do faces , draw characters , do great pattens or make lines in the images. The light of what ever the source you use can stay there for 5 minutes but it feels like it go's on for ever. The pictures on the right shows really good images that i find so good especially the one with the garden and the bench this is because it is really good and my taste .

John HaskethJohn got up one morning and go's out to get the paper and then he just got into light painting he did this in his home town in southern California. On the right I have an image from one of his works and from the slide show on the far right. I love this image because it has bright co lours and it cached my eyes. The composition is quite wild. I can relate to this as it has different colors of shades of pink.

Three Light Painting Artists
Jason.D
Jason creates his images in al most darkness. The technique that he normally uses is a photographic technique know as long exposure photography. When he starts to take an image he opens the shutter of his camera for a long period of time then use a various light sources to create color and designs within the frame. Every light painting images of his is unique and unrepeatable. Jason works in a 3 dimensional space then paints with light just like a traditional painter would with oils or acrylics.To produce any of his images is by using everything from ordinary household flashlights to chemical concoctions of nitrate and potassium chlorate to create explosions of light. One quote that Jason said was "Light Painting is its own art form, just as drawing is an art form or painting is an art form. Calling light painting a photographic technique would be the same thing as calling painting a canvas technique. I am a light painter."

Darren Pearson
Pearson as been light painting since 2008.He started light painting after discovering and seeing a image by another artist called Gjon Mili. The hard thing for Pearson is trying to find a cool spot to do the light painting without ambient light or sketchy night-people. His word that he hates the most when people discuss his work is 'Photoshop' but he is surprisingly not sick of the word and is not finished explaining it at the moment. Pearson technique of light painting is by spinning a glass prism in front of the camera while shinning light into the lens to create rainbow prismatic circles an that is how he made most of his photos.

Dennis Calvert
Calvert has been light painting since 2009. Calvert is famous and best known to make and have stunning and amazing light painting images , he does this by using a circle tool that he invented. His own favourite artist that he looked and got in to light painting are : JanLeonardo Woellert and Joerg Miedza. When people that like his work or he is interviewed ask 'what light painting is ' he always say "The ability to see in 4 dimensions, time traveling, and creating fantasy using only what we base all reality on, light." Dennis is still pushing the limits and has new tools to use.

* COMPOSITIONS
The composition of the images is that the models are arranged in the middle and the writing or the light is arrange mostly around the model if not on the left and right.
The settings of the images.
In my group we had F5 '10' for the first couple of images but it was not coming out as well as when we changed it to F4 '8' and it came out better and we did not change it and it was really good when Amy used the flash light for the last couple of images.

Evaluation
This image is my favourite and looks amazing . I really like this image as it looks effective as the flash was taken 4 times then so many as it would of been all other the place . The way that one boy looks like he is coming in to the statues as you see is head laughing then standing up the bending while smiling . to make this image even better if ben did the same thing but different actions (movements). However it still looks good and if they had colour lights it might look worse and ruin the image so I think to looks better how it is. They subject of the image is the two boys they are arranged centre but more to the right the point centre. The photographer was standing up as you can only see the top half then the full image. It is wild as there is a lots going on in the image. |
